Alice

Hello!
The last part of MoYou London's contest was themed "Alice". This time I didn't take this too literally and discarded ideas to picture the heroine. This mani was a bit inspired by other nailistas' work in previous weeks.
Alice colours are blue and white, I guess. Also check pattern and roses belong to the theme. Luckily MoYou has got a plate with the quote by O. Wild: "Be youself; everyone else is already taken." I think this phrase suits Alice very well, as she stuck in her personality crisis after changing her size repeatedly.

And we cannot miss some cake crying: "Eat me!"
After putting all the motifs together I put some pearls and white 3D roses from essence "jewel set".

as sponging nuances: varios polishes in light blue, white and stone-grey-blue
as stamping polish: Yves Rocher Argent nacré, white stampy by essence

Klassik Open Air

Hallöchen, ihr lieben!

Gestern war ja Klassik Open Air in Nürnberg angesagt. Und zwar picknickt man bereits seit 15 Jahren an der Meistersingerhalle zu schönen Klängen der Nürnberger Symphoniker. Mit ganz vielen Bekannten und Freunden wollte ich auch hingehen, aber der böse Regen hat uns einen fetten Strich durch die Rechnung gemacht. Es donnerte und blitzte und sogar hagelte, und der Regen wollte und wollte nicht aufhören... Einer nach dem anderen haben die Leute abgesagt, was aber auch sehr logisch war.
Der nächste Termin ist am 9. August. Da hoffe ich auf ein anständiges Wetter.

Trotz des Wetters waren meine Nägel perfekt für den Fall gekleidet. Als Inspiration diente das Titelbild für den diesjährigen Event:

Auf den senfgelben Hintergrund fliegen die Noten und Notenschlüssel umher. Da waren einige Platten im Einsatz: MoYou London Roxy collection 02, Sugar Bubbles SB 025, Bundle Monster BM-411.
Der Lorbeerkranz ist von der MoYou Explorer collection 18 (griechische Muster). Der Rest ist per Hand gemalt, mal direkt auf dem Nagel, mal als "decal".

Und das ist die Rechte Hand. Da hatte ich keine Lust mehr auf die Handmalerei mit meinen unsicheren Händen. Und setzte einfach einen Dirigenten dazu.

Klassik Open Air is a concert by Nürnberger Symphoniker outdoors. The guests can have a picnic and listen to classical music in the sommer evening twice a year. It's completely free! This year is already the 15th year in row.
Unfortunately I didn't go this time (27th of July) because of the havy rain. But the next one is planned on 9th of August. I am praying the weather might be kind with us next time. :)
Still I dressed my nails with the theme of the Klassik Open Air. I used MoYou London Roxy collection 02, Sugar Bubbles SB 025, Bundle Monster BM-411 and MoYou Explorer collection 18 for stamping. The birdie pins were freehanded. And I am holding in the last picture the real pin from the last year.

Skyline

Today's skyline is greenish!
The sky is also greenish-blue gradient (Bleu nacre by Ives Rocher, p2 Catch Glow 040 chilly breeze, Catrice  Holo In One, Yves Rocher Menthe). And some blue glitter...

 The images are from the plates Dash-33 and Dash-3. I was disappointed with the Bundle Moster, the image with skyline didn't work for me... And the skyline is "dancing".

Old New Year

Happy Old New Year!
In Russia, Belarus and some other countries the people can't celebrate enough! Because of the difference between the old Julian and the newer Gregorian calendar there is another opportunity to feel festive. It's not official holiday. I decided to bring more golden radiance into the day.

Для тых, хто яшчэ не стаміўся святкаваць, яшчэ адна нагода наліць келіх шампанскага і закусіць салатай аліўе ці якой іншай стравай.
А для мяне гэта яшчэ адна прычына апрануць пазногці ў раскошу цёмна-сіняга і залатога.

Essie's deep blue Midnight Cami and Good as Gold are sprinkled with the body powder haze of gold by p2.

Паверх essie Midnight Cami я распыліла залатую пудру для цела ад p2, якая была ў іх навагодняй калекцыі.

I wrote with acrylic gold paint "Старый Новый Год" and the translation "Old New Year" and stamped with Bunny Nails HD-E the celebrating people.

Каб азначыць нагоду, я напісала тонкім пэндзлікам таксама залатой акрылавай фарбай "Старый Новый Год" і пераклад на ангельскую мову - "Old New Year". На вялікім пазногці святкуюць новы год вясёлыя чалавечкі з келіхамі. Гэты матыў я ўзяла з шаблона Bunny Nails HD-E і настэмпіла яго залатым лакам таксама ад essie.

I discovered midi rings recently and here they are! It's a cute idea, still I think I wouldn't be comfortable with them at work.

Залатая пудра разляцелась па ўсёй руцэ, але каб не здавалася, што замала бліскучасці, я надзела пярсцёнкі для фалангаў і знайшла "залатую" біжутэрыю. Па-мойму, пярстёначкі для фалангаў выглядаюць чароўна, але не ведаю, ці зручна маць іх на пальцах у час працы...

New Year's Eve

Belated New Year's Eve mani.
First of all: Happy New Year!

While on holidays I broke a ring finger nail very badly, so this time my little sister lent me her nails.
But on my holidays not only broken nails happened, I took the opportunity to buy the interesting polishes by Dance Legend, which are sold in Belarus in shops.

One of the first purchases was the "chameleon" polish, better known as duochrome. The base colour is deep blue and it turns purple at some angle of view (look at the point and middle fingers). It's the nuance 091 Boggs.

The white accent nail was done with Yves Rocher tiny "vial" of Blanc neige.
The images on all nails except the thumb are from Sugar Bubbles New Year and Christmas plates.

And the fireworks on the thumbs are stamped with Bunny Nails festive plate HD-E. I took different metallic polished for it, because the fireworks are usually colorful. :)

My sis is holding another polish by Dance Legend, I'll write about it later.

Christmas Traditions

This time I had a hard time to find what to make... Subthemes like family and dinner didn't give me a picture I could place on my nails. But caroling did.
I found some nice pics on the net, but I was sure my freehand work sucks, and I still didn't get decal paper to transfer the pictures. So I just kept it simple.

First I did a gradient with three polishes by p2: 110 ocean lady, 920 up in the air! and 010 frosted mint. Then I stamped the G-clef with notes (stamping plate MoYou London Roxy Collection 02), and "snowing notes" from the same plate. 

Then I paintes the singing faces with acrylics. And added some glitter from essence effect nails (flakes I'm so dreamy).

Winter Nature

It's supposed to look like my nails are frozen windows. "Windows glasses" are p2 frosted mint as base, then one coat of China Glaze Isle See You Later.
I painted "frosting" with acrylic white colour and let it without top coat, because the surface of acrylic paint is matt and contrasts the glossy "glass" beneath.

Three Blues

Challenge on Adventures is Stamping: Mani using three blues.
Man, was that hard to choose only three of blues! Blue is one of my favorite colours anyway, I've got many shades, but not every of them qualifies for stamping. First thought was about some snowy motives, but I already used them for an other challenge, so I took just some paisleys and filled them with colour.

Base: 010 frosted mint by p2 from Snow Kissed collection. Stamping: Konad ultramarine, Konad light blue and essence 158 if i were a boy. For two accent nails I prepared stamping decals with Dashica SdP-39 plate. There are also if I were a boy, Konad light blue and IsaDora 684 Dazzling Acqua in decals. The other motives are from three essence plates (it's a shame they don't have any serial numbers, no idea how do distinguish them...) And some glitter. Blue, of course.
For decals I used also Catrice Gel Like top coat. It was pretty good, but still a bit smearing images... I hoped to find a substitute for Seche Vite, but Seche is still the best top coat in terms of stamping.

White Christmas

After some time of absolute desinspiration to write I hope to be back. ;) Meanwhile I increased the stock of polishes and plates in times and did some nice manis, but was to lazy to take pictures of it.
But I got motivated to take part in the Christmas winter challenge:

I used Color Club lumin-icecent (I think the shade is called so, but not sure), then 2 coats China Glaze "Isle See You Later", then essence snowflake topper from Happy holidays series. I spared only the accent nail from the two "topper", then stamped everything with Sugar Bubbles Special 02.

Day 22 of the Laid Back 31 Day Challenge - Inspired by Fabric

As I saw this beautiful kimono-like blouse by ZARA I thought I want something like this on my nails!

As base colour I took butter london big smoke, which looks like the ground colour of the blouse. The next step was stamping with light blue KONAD stamping polish and Gals plate GA37.

Then I brought some pink accents with essence free hugs and Konad blue stamping polish and soome glitters as well.

I am not really happy with this design, but if you look on from afar it's still okay.

Oldest Untried

Day 18 of the Laid Back 31 Day Challenge - Oldest Untried

There were so many polishes I almost forgot about I couln't deside, what to do. So I excavated from the bottom of my polish pile a set "Chrystal PUNK" by alessandro. As I remember I could get it for half the price.

The set consists of a black polish and of a top coat with blue flakies. According to the package the effect of them is called "Blue rocks the club".

When they are inside the bottle the flakies are shimmering mysteriously with ghostly blue tones.

Over the black base they look different, more solid, especialy on photographs.

I liked the look in real better then photo, because you don't really see borders of the single flakies.

Incognito!

Who could imagine that? Incognito Nails got their own chewing gums! Look here:

No-no, I didn't lobby the board of directors of Perfetti Van Melle (manufacturer of MENTOS) for creating my special incognito flavour. They just came alone to the idea of incognito. :) Because incognito sounds enigmatic and certainly cool :)
I could not ignore such lucky coincidence and bought it. As well I was eager to create a mani matching the design of incognito bubblegums. First of all I added two polishes to my collection:

They belong to the new stock of polishes by p2. Color Victim is an old polish subline. But the colour 920 up in the air! is new.

And the other one with deep royal blue colour is a new line with the pretension to look like gel nails. I don't know why are they all struggling for "gel look". Is that so desirable? Also Catrice claimed their new stock to be "gel look quality"...

Anyway gel look or not I found this couple to be perfect match for my incognito design.
The royal blue which is called 110 ocean lady. I used it for all nails. For the accent nail I sponged both colour like gradient techniqie.

The question marks are from the stamping plate GALS GA43 (Fairy Set). To get them coloured I used tip from this blog. The idea was to let the pattern dry on your stamper, colour it on stamper, let it dry. Then you paint a top coat over it, let it dry once again and then you can peel it off and use on your nail like a decal. It's easier and funnier then the technique of double stamping, in which I would never succeed. My stamper (just like some Russian saying about bombs is) never hits the exactly same ground twice. :) I used acrylic paints and also polishes for colouring of question marks.

Here you can better see the "gel like look" of the new p2 polish. Isn't it super glossy? You can even see my camera in the reflection on the nails...

And here we are together: incognito nails and incognito bubblegums. :)

I have to say, the flavour of them (I mean the chewing gums) is really difficult to distinguish. There is some mint, but also something fruity what I didn't recognized. :)
